Traveling Sanctuary Project - Pillowcase. Card. Message of Hope.

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 13, 2009 – Modern B*a*g Ladies is launching their first product, Traveling Sanctuary Project Pillowcase Sets on their recently launched website, www.modernbagladies.com.  Prior to the online launch the product received an enthusiastic response from holiday shoppers while being offered at a local holiday bazaar.  The product consists of 2 quality handmade pillowcases and cards, numbered as a set, one for the purchaser and one to be gifted to a “sister”, known or unknown.  If the purchaser choices, Modern B*a*g Ladies will gift one of the pillowcases to a women living in a shelter, accompanied by a message written on the card provided with the gifted pillowcase.  Women are searching for purpose and connection, which this product delivers with the product itself and by providing a $5 donation to an internationally recognized nonprofit, Enchanted Makeovers, who transforms women’s shelters into places of peace and possibilities. Women battling medical issues, such as cancer, have found the gift very comforting as they spend much time in bed and in treatment.  They feel a sense of connection and comfort knowing their sister is keeping her in her thoughts.

The poem on the card and message on the label inside the pillowcases was inspired by the founder’s “ah ha” moment as she went through her own self discovery process.  She would become still and think of her sisters, giving them good thoughts and intentions.  The label inside reads, “I retreat to the sanctuary within my heart.  Another day is done.  I think of my sister.  We connect and are one.”   A matching numbered, self stamped/addressed, card is provided to the gift recipient.  If she chooses she can write a return message, which is mailed to Modern B*a*g Ladies headquarters to be posted on the website with the number, which can be matched to the sister who purchased the shared gift.  This allows everyone to share in the wisdom of our sisters’ messages.
