Feb 07, 2010 – Damages is a distinctive thriller series about lawyers.
First of all, the two main characters are females; Then, the show mainly tells the stories about the weaker against the stronger and struggling occupying power. With both these two point, it easily calls people to mind the film in which Julia Roberts featured --- Erin Brockovich. However, the series Damages adds thriller element and the main character is a controversial lawyer.

Awe-inspiring but controversial famous female lawyer Patty Hewes runs a law firm Hews and Associates and she carefully selects Ellen Parsons as her parter for the first year. However, both of them never expect that this is the turning point in their lives.
Eleen has been engaged to her boyfriend David Connor recently. But she is a mere nobody in the legal profession. Being the colleague of famous lawyer Patty and accepting guidence of Patty and another senior lawyer Tom Shayes, Ellen is flattered. At the beginning, she feels a little reckless and thinks she steps on the royal road to success. However, she soon realizes that it costs so much to successs, much more than her imagination.

Now, the most important suit of Hews and Associates is Arthur Frobisher's corruption case. Arthur Frobisher is one of the riches CEOs in America, rich, powerful, prominet and influential. Patty, who is known for her emulative and "dare-to-fight-hard-kill" personality, is prepared to handle this case her own self after accepting customer's commission. Arthur Frobisher is of course no man to be trifled with. He hires another senior lawyer in legal profession Ray Fiske to plead the case in court against Patty. He's confident and believes that no one could shift his position. While Patty and Arthur Frobisher are dueling with Ray Fiske in court, Ellen learns that it cost too much to win a lawsuit --- money, honor and evern life.
